As an authority we are taking part in an animation and poetry project entitled Persistence of Vision .  Through a group of schools, consultants, animators and academic mentors we are working together to create a framework of progression in animation that can be used by all primary schools. Today was our first day and was really about the basics of creating an animation with Oscar Stringer .  We used I Can Animate software and Hue webcams .

With the release of Guitar Hero 5 as well as the future release of DJ Hero another Hero game has been announced in the form of Band Hero. The game itself is going to be very similar to guitar hero games as you can mix and match the instruments to play. This is allowed to be a combination of guitars, drums and of course the microphone. There is a big difference in fact between Band Hero and Guitar Hero and it could be something that makes Activision even more money.

JISC is launching a 3-year programme of activity to support colleges and universities with their decision-making process in green and environmental technology. The programme kicked off this month with invitations to universities and colleges to bid for funding for projects to investigate Green ICT and to run exemplar projects in energy use reduction and integration of estates and IT. The green programme of activity capitalises on the outcomes from the JISC-funded SusteIT project, which delivered a report Sustainable ICT in Further and Higher Education in January of this year.
